Studio details:
This state of the
art recording haven, full production recording studio,
located in Gallatin, TN is just minutes north of
Nashville. The 5,000 square foot 25 room recording
facility consists of 3 control rooms, two of which share
the same tracking room, and eight ISO rooms. Convenient
ground level load-in, fully-equipped kitchen with marble
fireplace, 2 bathrooms, 2 writing rooms,
conference/media room and 2 lounge areas, and 4 offices.
This studio is eloquently
designed with particular attention to detail and
craftsmanship throughout making it more of a retreat,
offering a creative and inspirational environment for all artists
and songwriters because of its outdoor setting surrounded by rolling hills and lush green pastures and
conveniently located near a variety of restaurants,
hotels, Old Hickory Lake and a golf course.
Studio construction:
Featuring 14' ceilings, floating floors in all rooms, concrete block walls filled with sand, framed out with
2x6 studs on both sides, 6 inches of insulation, 2 inches air
space, layered with ½ inch plywood ½ inch Celotex and 5/8"
drywall. We used Guilford fabrics and hardwood trim
throughout the studio for its sound capabilities. |

Ceiling construction:
On ground level consists of independent TJI beams
decoupled from the floor joist of the second floor.
Control room ceilings are black glacier acoustical tiles
with 8 inches of insulation above a 2-3 foot air space, drywall, Celotex, plywood, 22 inches
of blown insulation, 3/4" sub
floor, Enca-sonics, 2 layers of 1/2" plywood, carpet
padding and carpet to the second level.
Control room glass:
5/8" laminated glass on the control room side and ½"
laminated on the tracking room side.
Doors and seals:
All doors are solid core fire rated with closed cell
neoprene rubber seals around the jambs. Doors all have
automatic closers.
Floor
construction:
All concrete floors are floating in all rooms. Floor
covering is cherry engineered hardwood flooring. |
